Jobs for six participants

Jobs for six participants

From little things, big things grow. Famous lyrics from an iconic Australian song. How true are these words when a small group of participants started a little car wash service to give them experiences in washing cars, customer service and handling money.

The little business grew and grew, and before long gained a reputation for quality work. Together participants, staff and a local disability employment service- Access Australia, explored car washing as an employment opportunity.

In comes Boran Holden- Dandenong, who offered work experience washing cars in their yard for six participants from Burke and Beyond- Dandenong. A few weeks later, and after demonstrating outstanding abilities, Boran Holden- Dandenong offered all six participants paid employment commencing in November 2019. This is a testament to the enthusiasm and hard working attitude of the participants during their work experience period.

Congratulations, well done and amazing for all involved. From little things, big things grow.
